Mr. Schuett has been practicing law for twenty-four (24) years. He graduated with his Bachelors with honors from Wake Forest University in 1990. From there, he attended the University of Miami School of Law graduating with honors in 1993. After serving as a combat officer and attorney in the United States Army, Mr. Schuett moved to the Tampa Bay Area in 1998.
At this point in his career, Mr. Schuett worked as an associate at two (2) of the Tampa Bay area’s top business law firms before opening his own business law practice in 2001 with an emphasis on representing construction-related businesses. During this time, Mr. Schuett gained extensive experience construction and business litigation and arbitration, trying over forty (40) construction and business cases, including two (2) intellectual property cases exceeding $5,000,000.00 in damages, while also reviewing and drafting all types of commercial business agreements, many in the area of construction. In addition, Mr. Schuett has served as outside corporate counsel for well over seventy (70) companies, to include multiple construction-related companies, and has helped these companies successfully operate their businesses to include collecting unpaid accounts receivable.
Most recently, Mr. Schuett has focused his practice around representing contractors and other businesses who need to recover funds from monies owed to them, as well as defending these same clients against frivolous lawsuits.
Mr. Schuett is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Tampa Bay Builders Association, the Seminole Chamber of Commerce and the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, playing golf, and spending time with friends and family.
