Clay-Schuett_wpMr. Schuett has been practicing law for twenty (20) years. He graduated with his Bachelors from Wake Forest University in 1990. From there, he attended the University of Miami School of Law and graduated in 1993. After serving as a combat officer and attorney in the United States Army, Mr. Schuett moved to the Tampa Bay Area in 1998.

At this point, Mr. Schuett worked as an associate at two (2) of the Tampa Bay area’s top business law firms, before opening his own business law practice in 2001. During this time, Mr. Schuett gained extensive experience in business litigation, trying over twenty (20) commercial cases, including two (2) intellectual property cases exceeding $5,000,000.00 in damages, while also reviewing and drafting all types of commercial business agreements, many in the area of intellectual property. In addition, Mr. Schuett has served as outside corporate counsel for well over seventy (70) companies, to include multiple “internet” companies, and has helped these companies successfully and legally operate their businesses.

Most recently, Mr. Schuett has built his practice around the BP Settlement agreement, filing hundreds of claims for local business and individuals. Once the settlement is complete, Mr. Schuett intends to continue pursuing these types of mutually beneficial agreements and expand upon his already impressive business offerings.

Mr. Schuett is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Seminole Chamber of Commerce and the Clearwater Chamber of Commerce. In his free time, he enjoys running and golf.
